La Bottega del Cioccolato

This gem of a chocolate shop has glossy-red walls and a kitchen in the back where the scrumptious chocolates are made. The owner, who comes from a long line of chocolate makers, uses only the purest Brazilian cocoa for his confections (they make terrific gifts). Like many chocolate shops in Rome, it closes for the summer, usually by the end of July, and doesn’t reopen until September.
